Uma Chandelier designed by Giancarlo Tintori
As the lighting division of Cassina, we’ve come to expect nothing less than the best from Nemo. With the vision of industrial designer Giancarlo Tintori behind them, they have set out to produce and create one of the most innovative and most striking recreations of the classic chandelier. Made of transparent metacrylate tubes and an inner steel structure, Tintori has designed a chandelier that utilizes modern production and materials but still manages to evoke the craft, the detail and the awe of its older, more traditional form.
The Uma stands tall at the crossroads of modernity and old world opulence.
La Lune Sous Le Chapeau, designed by Man Ray in 1973 and reissued this year by Nemo-Cassina
Minimalist, neo-decorative, functional, elegant…. such were the adjectives used to describe the novelties that Nemo-Cassina Lighting presented in Milan this year.
The 2011 Cassina Lighting collection is brought to us by some of Nemo’s exclusive designers; prestigious names like Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and Javier Mariscal, and also by some of masters of design like Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, and Franco Albini.
Check out the new collection we saw at Euroluce 2011…
